Survived the whole lecture… was hoping that he would mention something about his position on bitcoin… such as if he owns any… but he made no mention of that.
EV isn’t really a revolution. At the end of the day it’s still a car driven by human. I think the biggest “disruption” in EV is that the drivetrain is drastically simplified, to a point that a computer maker like Apple can tackle. There are a lot fewer moving parts in EV compared to a gas car.
Well you can also say mobile internet isn’t really a revolution because it’s just an improvement from PC internet… at the end of the day it’s still a person using the internet…
Mobile internet is having internet with you 24x7. Total game changer. Size of PC got shrunk by orders of magnitude.
If I had to make an analogy with EV it’s like instead of powering your house with fossil fuel now you power with solar. Does it change how you experience your house? Not really.
EV is getting rid of gasoline and the internal combustion engine… also a total game changer.
