Emeryville on Economist

The Boba Guys have mostly western customers, judging by the language mix of the people lining outside. I was surprised boba tea has gone mainstream, at least in SF.

I heard LA has the most sophisticated boba scene. Maybe I should go down there to investigate. Tax-deductible expenses, right guys?

Earl Grey teahouse?

Fresh and Easy grocery store was also a terrible name. Sounded like a cleaning product. Could just me be though.

If you want to get with trendy SF naming conventions, try:

Milk + Tea
East India Tapioca Co.

Anything from here:

My brand has a + in it. So I am officially a hipster.

The missing e trend is done and buried? Like ā€œTeastrā€?

You donā€™t have to have 100 items on the menu. My point is not everyone is a fan of milk tea. Would be good to have some sort of ice milk or just pure fruit tea.

Which shop in SF has the best milk tea @harriet?

I donā€™t like milk tea that much, but in terms of just pure boba tea (without milk) I like the Asha Tea House. For other boba drinks I prefer Purple Kow.

Agree with the Asha recommendation. I do like their HK milk tea.
The ShareTea in the Rincon center has a great Roasted Brown Sugar Tea.
PlenTea near Kearny is good too - I like their Thai iced tea and the fact that it comes in a bottle. Nothing like the sound of ice cubes clinking against the glass.
