Good news from Irma

The newer homes built after 2002 did better than the older ones… The new codes work and newer homes have to be built on higher ground. My land development deal in Sugarland Tx was untouched… Plenty of safe places to buy in Texas and Florida… Good time to be a vulture investor…

Is there a specific zip code @elt1 ? Many of the ones in the zillow link are too small - all max out at 400 sq ft. Are these really worth 32k ?

Lot of cheap condos

But I would look for a beachfront with ocean view

Like the Hawaiian

They are hotel rooms
400sf is ok
Especially if a one bedroom with a real kitchen
I would make a bunch of low ball offers… probably a few sellers wanting out
Many made a killing if bought in 2009
The Hawaiian sold for $15-20k in 2009 now up to $129k
