Democrats are supposed to support paying their fair share and paying more to help those less fortunate. Now that it’s actually proposed legislation look at how fast they change their mind. It’s someone else that’s supposed to pay more not them personally.
I’m pretty sure the vast majority of the country supports CA and NY residents paying more income taxes. People those places have the highest incomes, so the rest of the country isn’t going to feel sorry for them. Democrats wanted to increase their income tax rates anyway, so there’s little chance they were going to avoid a tax increase.
We’ve had multiple people here say that they wouldn’t mind paying more. They should be supporting this. It’s their chance to pay more.
