Years ago Bechtel did the same 9hr schedule it was wonderful for short getaways like Tahoe/Reno, LA/SD or going up/down the coast. We where divided into 2 teams so 1/2 the work force was there on Fridays.

Amazon was piloting a program like this in Seattle. Entire workteam would work 30 hours a week where people were working during school hours and a little on Saturday. Was meant to see if it would work for the people with kids.

Yes, this needs to gain momentum (forget banning rent control, dragonboy…) here in the states
