I think young companies will be able to take advantage. Older companies need to get it together with their systems and infrastructure first. It could be a huge advantage for younger companies.

3 million people work in customer service support in the US alone. Many millions more worldwide.
Most of these jobs will be replaced by AI in the next 10 years.

If AI really does enhance productivity there will be plenty of new jobs to replace the old ones.

My view is that the lower end programmers will be in trouble. By low end I mean people who just did 3 months of web programming bootcamps and don’t even know what the big O notation means.
The elite ones? The ones who know how the system is architected and the tradeoffs made in the design decisions? Not so much.

Unlike Zuck Google doesn’t have resolves to break from the old cash cow. Many people there are just cruising on fat paychecks.

Two words is enough. Innovator’s dilemma. Wasted my time. Thought is something insightful.
Google’s bread and butter Google search has no problems with white people.
Its AI has problems because it’s still treated as a side science project. Gen-AI threatens Google’s entire ad based business model.
If Google treats Gemini seriously as a big bet on its future survival, you won’t see all these silliness.
That’s what I wrote a week ago. The new angle is execution speed. Google is dog slow compared to startups like OpenAI.
Unless its founders come back from retirement and right the ship, Google is finished.
Google’s search is woke. Those against woke is ranked low. Usually we don’t go down the page so we didn’t notice.
