Demographics are exerting massive deflationary pressures but money printing is even more massive. Global debt levels are so high that central banks can’t let deflation happen.
Edited to say - gold and silver are well off their highs but certainly aren’t screaming deflation.

You need some kind of equity, not currency. Deflation, were it somehow to occur, would likely lead to debt becoming unmanageable and to social unrest - both of which would result in more money printing.
Artificial intelligence would lower costs, necessitating a significant reduction in government funding.
It might lower costs in the private sector but I don’t see how it would lower the cost of government.
