That was really long and didn’t reveal how they were doing anything to actually fix cities. They can identify retail vacancy is up in a specific neighborhood. So what? Is that even bad, because clearly people didn’t shop at the retail stores. Are they going to advocate for re-zoning to something that’ll use the space? Until they get to the point of understanding what results are produced from a policy decision, it’s pretty useless. If they do get to that point, then they could help people advocate for policies that actually produce the results they want.

That’s honestly the biggest issue with society. Most people can’t think beyond the immediate impact to all the unintended consequences of policy. They vote for polices that end up producing the opposite impact of what they want. It’s not surprising given our mediocre K-12 education system.

Well, even though I do like to ride our pathetic leaders in the Fab 7x7 a lot for their idiotic policies I can see how it can be difficult to project or predict the future on a lot of things. Hopefully, all this data can be viewed by a wide cross-section of folks in various disciplines and industries so that they can chime in as to how to best proceed in light of these findings. We def live in an era where we are bombarded with so much data that it can be confusing and contradictory even…
