Austin MSA vs SFBA and TX vs CA

Does it matter what one individual wants? That’s the difference between statistics and anecdotes.

Well diversify your investments. Otherwise one will have to keep defending the indefensible.

I do not understand a bit the point you are trying to make. What job you consider good or bad is your choice. Someone else dream job may not be your dream job and vice versa. Also you sound like all money is concentrated in Bay Area and people else where are living below poverty line and surviving on handouts.

Every economic zone consists of its own money bags and handlers. Bay area has these too and so have the other center of economic specialization.

what I am saying is as per my narrow view of the world on what is exciting, and will make a ton of money in the future, is all based here.

as per jobs that people like, yes, different jobs for different types of people.

I am just looking at jobs where i can maximize my chances of being wealthy. and many of those are here in my opinion, not elsewhere, from my own research and networking.

I am here for entertainment. I certainly didn’t plan on convincing you or any one else about Texas. I would suggest you go there. Like my friends in New Mexico say… Ski Texas… I meet a lot of people from Texas on the Heavenly ski lifts. At least Texas has a lot of airports. I actually made money in Texas. Developed a self storage facility in Fort Worth. Made 50% in one year. Never went there. Just bought into a small piece of a 153 unit apartment building in Kansas City don’t plan on going there either

This Texas vs. California discussion has been going on for 30 years at least.

California is stronger than ever. People with an agenda need to make up narratives like “exodus” (not true) and inefficient government (true but exaggerated).

I have seen this play out for decades. People move to Austin thinking they are going to get a bigger house, better lifestyle. Huge percentage of them come back to join the next hot company or get paid better.

Bigger house just mean bigger headaches. That Dallas house would be like owning a hotel. Huge expense. I would rather own a hotel.

I figured. Feelings vs data(whether UHaul data or Stanford study data) might not align sometimes.

Remember statistics can be manipulated. There are lies damned lies and statistics.
My 50 years in the building business mean more that googled stats and random facts. Buy something in Texas and report back.

how?

How does not have agenda? Is extracting money from CA not an agenda of left?

The world’s largest most important companies are here? They are larger and more powerful than ever?

VC capital is more concentrated in California than ever before?

Oh yeah, I forgot, you are the Ivermectin buffoon who always asks for evidence but never presents anything real. Go watch OAN and then report back on what they told you to think.

Oh wait, sorry. Was it Hydroxychloroquine?

Rhetorical statement. Point out the falsehoods here else it’s conspiracy theory.

Random facts are quoting anecdotal statements from friends who come to ski in CA or Nevada.

Lot of money is concentrated in tax shelters and blind spots? Does that make those places great?

Like I always say, both states have problems.

I will take our problems over Texas problems any day. And it sure seems like a lot of people agree.

I have the benefit of life experiences. I quote plenty of stats and facts too. But not to convince you or anyone else. We all have our own reality. At least Hanera is living his. I don’t see anyone else moving there in this forum.

Hydroxychrolorquine did help people when nothing was around. Did you not like that?

Right okayyy. I got it

And I’m just a dude with only a couple of places. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
