Billionaires would have faced multiple lawsuits and can take risk.
Will you buy a property at South Africa and control through remotely ?
Billionnaires do, but not others.

Why is this guy just breaking even ?
May be there are plenty of new construction in Pflugerville?
Or probably overpriced to start with. I do not understand that market well.
He bought it and after 2 years selling almost for the same price ( after closing costs and commissions )
So 2018 bought and now selling for almost the same price
His is not in the good neighborhood of Pflugerville. The good neighborhoods are in the NE corner. @Boolean and me have rentals there.
How do you pronounce the name of the town? Plugger? Flugger?
With the “F”.
It’s actually a German word. It means “(someone who) ploughs”
Very hot seller’s market price appreciation is crazy for Austin MSA. Appreciation differs for zip codes, 78727 is fantastic
for obvious reasons.
Since I was curious, I contacted Zillow home buying service to give me offer on my Austin house. I am quite surprised by the offer coming back - 50% up from the price I purchased 5 years ago. I think last 20% or so happened in last 12 months alone.
@hanera, you picked the right time to expand your portfolio in Austin.
Approxly correct Didn’t realize Pflugerville is suddenly so loved
Always thought is 78717 for schools and 78727 for proximity to Apple Campus and The Domain.
Edit Nov 29: After some thought, may be because the houses there have large built-in. My rentals have square footage from 3000-3500 sqft 4 bedrooms 3.5 baths + study room, game room, men’s den, laundry room, mud room, MM room…
Recently, Teslarati reported that many of the company’s executives were asked where they would want to spend time if they were needed in the same area as the new factory. A significant factor in Tesla’s decision to choose Austin…
“When talking to key members of the team that would need to move to Austin from California in order to get the factory going, Austin was their top pick to be totally frank,” Musk said. “That was a big factor in choosing Texas and Austin. Specifically Austin. I guess a lot of people from California, if you ask them what’s the one place you’d move outside of California, it’s Austin.”
After your county turned blue this election, I am starting to warm to Austin. Glad to see many Californians settling there. Seems it still has a long way to catch up to our wide range of Chinese cuisine in the Bay if only now you got authentic dumplings there…
Which is good Half-empty
Plenty of opportunity for growth
Yeah, I mean who’d want to live in a city without homeless issues, poop on sidewalks, used drug needles, high property crime rates, erosion of property owner rights, and all the other amenities that liberal policies provide. People must have some sort of mental illness to leave a place then vote for the same policies in the new place. The optimism that this time those policies will have a better results is literal insanity. We already know the results of the policies, since they’ve been repeated. Expecting them to miraculously produce an utopia the next time defies all logic and reason.
