Basic Income Program

Interesting study being done

  1. Once you start giving people free stuff, then they are going to keep expecting it. Any mention of reduction or elimination sets of the, “you want poor people to die in the streets” crazy talk.

  2. If you want to solve intergenerational poverty, then force birth control on unmarried people. http://www.familyfacts.org/charts/329/poverty-rates-are-higher-among-single-mother-families-regardless-of-race

  3. These programs usually start out tiny then have crazy sprawl over time. That’s why they become unsustainable. How do you decide who qualifies? Once you draw a cutoff line, then you reward people to earn just below it. It’s the welfare cliff all over again. http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/images/user5/imageroot/2012/11-2/welfare%20cliff.jpg

  4. Oh, then there’s having a job is better for our mental health than not working. http://www.lshtm.ac.uk/newsevents/news/2013/employment_psychological_wellbeing.html
