Bidding War Rate Fell to Another 10-Year Low in December

San Francisco continued to be the only market that was even moderately competitive in December.

The bidding war rate fell to zero in Raleigh and Dallas.

I thought everybody was moving away from SF to these hot towns in Texas? What happened?

Seems even Sacramento is more popular than Austin? :thinking:

Please write down somewhere that I have told you at least a dozen times that there is hardly any bidding wars in Austin. My purchases so far, at most I face one more bidder. The game in Austin is the seller will put the price at 10-15% above market price and gradually reduce till one buyer put up an offer. So multi-bids are rare.

Because Sacramento is a more desirable place to live.

I bet the Chinese food in Sac will beat Austin’s hands down.

Sacramento MSA is 2.5 million similar to Austin. My favorite supermarket in Sacramento is KP international. A Korean owned market with very cheap prices and all kinds in international food. Live fish market, amazing varieties of vegetables and real butchers. Sacramento also has Tahoe, Napa and the Bay Area 90 minutes away. Austin has hot humid summers and cold winters.

@manch and @elt1 couldn’t enjoy the sweet grapes :slight_smile:
