We are in air conditioned offices here but yeah it is bad out there. I am very surprised that being on the coast is not helping matters.
See, another reason for why elders and seniors shouldnât be living in those rural, small towns. When the fires came, they didnât have a shotâŚ
You think when the BIG ONE hits the seniors will have a shot here?
Relatively speaking yes. This is an urban setting with plenty of firefighters and hospitals. Those people out there were sitting ducksâŚ
Thatâs not really on the same level as whatâs happening today.
CO2 emission ?
Another example of liberal misguided policy. Time to switch to red.
RWC air has been good last couple of days. Earlier there was dryness and smoke, but not getting much now.
There definitely needs to be way more attention paid to managing forests. If you look at the maps of where the Camp Fire stopped, major roads seem to be wide enough to allow the fire fighters to keep it from crossing (not always, but it helps). Iâm sure it sucks to have to cut the forest into grids, but if there were just thinned areas, then firefighters could focus on standing their ground on those lines. But once a fire starts, itâs very difficult to create those buffers in emergency situations.
Missing? Thatâs not a good sign after all these days.
Hmm. So maybe California rules and regulations do have something to do with it.
Owners are not allowed to cut trees. Who should be responsible for causing the fire by not allowing owners to cut trees? Guess PG&E is not the only culprit.
Environmentalists. They insist on having thick vegetation and so close to human settlements. Also the dwellers, I know is not PC to say but⌠many love staying near greenbelt and have many trees around the houses.
Wha??? Air Quality is in red zone, AQI been above 150. PM 2.5 concentrations are way too high.
Just because it doesnât smell smoky doesnât mean itâs healthyâŚ
Look at how much land is owned by the federal government vs how much owned by individuals.
Nevada and Arizona has more federal land.
Is the federal land exempt from Californiaâs regulation?
Is Grand Canyon on federal land? There are managed burning there and you can see smokes.
Rain is coming. Hope not too much rain and nobody wants a mudslide after the fire.
