More Oaktown Validation, Manch

Granted, commercial not residential, but still…great news for the soon to be former Warrior homebase…

I feel that Oakland has finally turned the corner, for real this time. There is a lot of truth in the “Oakland is Brooklyn to SF’s Manhattan” meme. But rent is lagging SF by a mile though, and prices have gone up too much. I don’t see anything worth buying that won’t bleed me dry in negative cashflow…

And I don’t want to go near East Oakland, the infamous flatland. I know guys who love to bargain hunt there. Not my cup of tea.

Progress, however slow, is still progress. I am just waiting to see what happens when Uber’s building is fully online and all those employees have had a chance to settle in.
