We already have affordable housing. They are called trailers. Put the homeless in them and move them to Fresno or Bakersfield. Much milder weather for the homeless

Poor people will need to pay 35% of income on housing. The maximum rent will become $150 instead of $50.

“The initiative unveiled by Carson Wednesday would raise the rent for tenants in subsidized housing to 35 percent of gross income (or 35 percent of their earnings working 15 hours a week at the federal minimum wage), up from the current standard of 30 percent of adjusted income. About half of the 4.7 million families receiving housing benefits would be affected, HUD officials said.

The cap on rent for the poorest families would rise to about $150 a month — three times higher than the existing $50 ceiling. About 712,000 households would see their monthly rents rise to $150, the officials said”

The government keeps changing the codes. Almost all us live in housing that doesn’t meet current health and safety codes. Hand rails, windows, insulation all are more stringent now than just a few years ago. Did you know that if you don’t have window screens you are in violation of the law?

Honestly, isn’t this a good thing to end BS lawsuits? All you have to prove is there was an impact not intent, and you can win. That’s stupid. We need less regulations not more.
