Poll Shows Surprising Bay Area Support For Key Trump Immigration Policies

Seems that politicians are out of touch with the people. Even in BA, majority of the people support Trump’s immigration policy

Not surprising, considering the Kate Steinle case was right here front and center. Yeah, you can say it was an accident or whatever, but the fact remained that the dude should not have been in this country for one sec. RIP Kate…

"When it comes to serious drug related crimes, Bay Area residents — including Bay Area Hispanics — agreed ICE agents should be kept informed."
And more Hispanics voted for Trump than Romney. The idea that Hispanics don’t believe in laws just isn’t true. And they certainly don’t need the competition for illegals. People forget - Caesar Chavez was VEHEMENTLY against illegal immigration. It destroyed his bargaining power.

This shouldn’t be surprising. If you are a legal Hispanic resident (citizen or green card), illegal Hispanics who commit crimes are a real negative on your own reputation. Furthermore, a lot of Hispanic boys are pressured to do drugs and join gangs. A lot of parents don’t want their kids to be subjected to those pressures. If I understand correctly, there was a Hispanic teenager at Sequoia high school who was killed for refusing to join a gang.

WASHINGTON — Asked by The Southern Illinoisan about his decision not to hold an in-person town hall, Rep. Mike Bost (R-Ill.) described the raucous protests that have erupted at town halls across the country as “out of control.”

Fair enough. Agree or not, that’s a reasonable response.

Then Bost elaborated, spouting off something as puzzling as it was racist.

You know the cleansing that the Orientals used to do where you’d put one person out in front and 900 people yell at them?” he reportedly asked the daily newspaper’s editorial board. “That’s not what we need. We need to have meetings with people that are productive.”
