Prop 5: Should Baby Boomers get a property tax break to move?

Prop 5 won’t pass. Won’t create a bunch on inventory for buyers and won’t attract many sellers

Just vote (assuming you are still a Cali resident)!!!

Signed,

Hillary

No on 5. Enough is enough. How many tax breaks for landowners already? Are we heading towards a feudalistic society now?

Um, must I remind you Creator why we are here in the first place?

I find it odd that on the one hand (in various stock threads, too many actually for a RE site supposedly) you essentially champion max profits yet when it comes to RE and a site that I believe is owner focused you state something like this. Me no comprendo…

Did I ever say people should not pay taxes on their stock gains?

I will vote for any rollback of Prop 13, the most misguided tax law of the country. Prop 5 is trying to expand Prop 13. Hell no.

There are more threads on politics than stocks though. This is a pretty freewheeling site.

Only because of this Presidency… in other times, probably not…

I am glad nobody is interested in RE. It will flourish under benign neglect

Well, I am just going to have go down with the ship then…

Price is topping out. It’s actually a global phenomenon, bigger than I initially thought.

You selling?

Not yet. Waiting to buy.

As long as buyers are waiting RE prices won’t drop much. When all forum members become sellers then is the time to buy
