I believe I saw somewhere that said Pacifica is about 1/3 renters, so def easier to knock down (as long as everyone votes again)…
Cities that are majority renter won’t be able to stop the train though.
No, but if those cities actually did allow affordable homes to be built so that the number of homeowners increase it can over time level or stop the bleeding. Sure, wishful thinking, but not impossible.
Thank god the renters in my town don’t vote…Too stoned to know how…They just like to whine on Craigslist and twitter…Besides we have a majority of homeowners. .they just dont like vacation rentals…
Just put a cap at 1400 inthe City of SLT. …Will hurt highend home prices…Except in Nevada…great news for my vacation rental there…Probably just gained a 100k value…

Cities don’t want more homes. More homes means more services which means ruining local budgets.
Even the Fab 7x7 I would admit can stand to go way vertical more. Not unlike cities like Singapore with condo highrises everywhere. Now, I don’t honestly know if our infrastructure can legitimately handle that much more people but there should be some middle ground.
