@druid, Do we need to permit for updating the electric Panel? I have a kitchen and bath remodel permit and the inspector came in checked the new panel and asked for the circuit breakers for different rooms. We didnt file a permit with PG&E as well? new Panel was in same place as old.
It depends on what your goal was with the panel upgrade. If your goal was to have more breakers and if your existing power drop satisfies the new total load then you should be ok without contacting PG&E. If the upgrade is maxing out your amperage, then you will need to open a job request with PG&E because finally the source , in this case PG&E, has to provide enough amps over the wire.
More breakers and upgrade the old panel.so Im good.
Is the job done?
What drywall is he replacing? The entire house? If so, $6K for painting is cheap. I give it, or take a $4.5K estimate for a fairly job. Why? Priming the new drywall, though today you can use a self-primer finish paint, couple of coats, but you need to caulk most all the baseboard, and repaint them, etc.
I guess the house is a 3b/1bath?
Sorry I forgot to add. He just patched the drywall and stucco outside. I will need to get them painted over when I am doing the whole house in a month or 2.
Hey… look how good estimate was ![]()
Glad to read you did not have to convert to underground service.
