Rules on renting a SFH as commercial space

I am looking at a SFH in Fremont that’s on a busy road. If I buy that can I rent it as commercial space to dentist/lawyer/CPA/daycare etc? Are there any tax implications when I decide to sell it?

if it’s not zoned for the use case, you can’t do it. check the zoning.
