It’s an interesting concept. Original price is 350k max. The maximum resell price is pegged to the increase in income in the San Diego area so families will not make as much when they sell. Also it says they lease the land instead of owning it. Doesn’t say if it is a no cost lease or they charge them for it. Also the city owned the land originally because it was in a flood plain and the had to buy out the original owners. I hope they did some flood improvements.
Design the houses like boats…Flood comes they just float…why don’t they do this in all flood plane zones?
There are other interesting examples of ownership on leased land. Apparently half of Palm Springs is built on tribal lands with long term leases that are coming up in the near future.
