LOL…the last house sold in my area, the idiots, or should I say smart guys cut a big tree, the city didn’t find out about it. Unless I tell them.

Like I aways say, find Joe’s Saturday Or Sunday Tree Service… Joe is always busy…
A person in Willow Glen (part of San Jose) knew he was going to have a problem cutting a tree down so he did it on a Sunday without a permit. The neighbors called the police right away but they said they couldn’t do anything about it because the city office was not open and they didn’t know if he had a permit. They changed they policy right after that to eliminate the weekend tree cutting.
edit - this happened a couple of years ago.
About 1+ ago, my neighbor across the street took down pine trees so high it gave us the goosebumps every times it was windy. Well, she hired a Mexican guy, he came with a couple of dudes, took them down but the garbage recollection didn’t want to take the trunks, too heavy and wide they said.
She could have ended in court paying a huge fine. 12 trees, about 20" diameter.
