'Tectonic Time Bomb': Strong Quake on Hayward Fault Could Kill Hundreds

That already sounds way better than learning about the solar systems through watching Sailor Moon…

My HOA just picked it up last year - largely due to my badgering about it at meetings for the previous 3 years. But we have three reservoirs, a filter treatment plant and pumps and piping worth about 9 million. If we lose it in a quake we’re water-less. And I believe there’s some prohibition against FEMA bailing out HOA’s. And the county wishes we would all just curl up and die one way or another so this could all be Open Space. The cost per household is about $7 a month.

Your existence is against majority’s wishes :scream:

The more little quakes the better. Less chance of a big one.

No matter if you pay earthquake insurance, good luck in the process of getting your money back. Well, part of it.

When the big one hits, as they are kind of predicting, it will be horrific.

And, that’s not a motive for joke. It will be horrible!

Buy insurance or better yet retro fit. Plenty can be done to ride out a quake

Northridge earthquake 25 year anniversary is coming up next week.

Hurricanes and tornadoes kill a lot more people and happen every year
