This is Why We Have Been Loving Fremont So Long

This one went even higher. Smaller lot, newer build.

My place in Fremont is in the wrong neighborhood!

whats your zip code?

94538, I think it’s in the Irvington area? I’m not familiar with Fremont at all. :man_shrugging:

You’re rich. You don’t even know where your money is invested

Anyways, searching with that zip code on redfin will show you the geographical boundaries of that zipcode.

Well, rising tide lift all boats (assuming it’s not leaking  ).

When I say I don’t know Fremont, I’m more talking about I don’t know what areas are ā€œnicerā€ or ā€œbetterā€ besides just the price. If I just look at price action for my Oakland places, I would think ā€œomg, that area must be amazing,ā€ but in reality I don’t want to even drive through the area at night. Maybe I’m just chicken

crime is not a problem in Fremont in any area AFAIK.
Schools and commute primarily determine area attractiveness.

A crock of bureaucracy bullshit. Get rid of the building department zoning rules and red tape. Then maybe someone might try affordable housing development. Otherwise they will build nothing. The money will be spent where profitable. Not on dreams projects for clueless politicians.

Considering the large size of the house, it sold at a great price.

This is a crazy high price for Fremont. Buyer went nuts???

500K over and 3.5M for not Mission San Jose school. That’s a bit surprising.

There’s always normal distribution, outliers and subsequently trends. Time will tell where this one lies and whether it’s indicative of any trend.

IMO.

The more remote/hybrid work becomes pervasive possibly in the future, it will help nicer areas which are safe and have great schools such as Danville, parts of Pleasanton, Fremont, parts of Santa Cruz, Marin etc etc - too many to mention here.

I always felt Danville and that whole area as much nicer than Fremont so the high prices don’t seem out of place to me.

The Bishop Ranch area is very nice. Hope more companies will have offices there.
