This is Why We Have Been Loving Fremont So Long

Wow 2.7M https://redf.in/Z4sJ2i

Similar ones were selling 2.4M highest at the peak, and this one is quite close to train track too. Looks like new ATH for the neighborhood.

Talk about RE the way to generational wealth. From list as a new home to sold in 9 years you make 1.5M. Nice.

The only thing that worries me (short term though) is the Tesla layoff yesterday. That is a fair amount of folks lopped off.

It looks like single family home inventory in Fremont is steadily increasing. Much higher than last year. Is this the beginning of a slow down? It’s been a long time since we had interest rates this high with somewhat normal inventory.

Why would a desirable place like Fremont “slow down?” If anything, Nvidia money is going to boom this entire region (I hope).

Wow, after nearly 8 years since posting this, I may be on my way out of Fremont now. Thank you, Fremont. You just made it easier for me to enjoy this sunset every day for the rest of my life…

This will be my last post in this thread.

Ok, Manch, you want my Sunset home???

what happened? did you sell your home?

Just this thread not forum right? I can take that sunset home :grimacing:

That would be correct. And yes, Uncle Sam will get his cut… no more RE buying. I am now a devouted minimalist. Everything of material value goes, down to a bare minimum. One or two home bases in Asia and one here in the Bay Area. Thinking of selling SFHs to only a condo. Lock the door, pretty much no worries to go and travel the world. Can you do that with a SFH? Probably not.

Well, the problem is that there is not much interaction here anymore. I am not into stocks much (beyond 401k) despite being a big fan of the dismal science (Economics). I have gravitated to finally Facebook (Meta?) due to the need/want to engage with others in Malaysia (expats, locals) for advice and tips, etc. I also used to engage heavily on Reddit (up to 20k karma in a matter of 2 yrs, not bad) but that has slowed down now too since FB is working out nicely. I have found stuff on Marketplace to buy cheaply and sell as well.

I do appreciate you or anyone who engages with me when I do drop in here. Happy holidays all!!!

P.S. You can have my San Bruno home first if you want…
