When will Californians start seeing the state is heading nearing FUBAR?

No need to worry, there are die hards that don’t migrate even if they are robbed daily and their properties are break in frequently.

All of this points back to issues with SF’s leadership. The fact that “Drug addicts [are] roaming around” is completely their fault.

That’s part of the charm. You pay extra for that

I’m not sure I agree with this. I have had a landlord increase the price when their property value doubled in Cambridge after rent control went away, but they were new owners and had to make the numbers work, but it was something like 10% of the rent. I still think that overall, most property owners will absorb the cost because market rent is what it is. If landlords could charge higher, they already would. It only forces those who actually need the money to ask for a higher rent.

Too many die-hard liberals, but I do think some of them are waking up…

5 cars stolen last night in redwood city by the same group. The breakins are almost daily now from what I’m seeing on Nextdoor

Context :grinning: enough said or need elaboration?

LOL summary -“I had no clue and it doesn’t affect me anyways, cuz I live in DC most of the time, I’m only here when I need votes  plus I’ve made sure no homeless or crime where I live. I will also make sure I get re-elected whether people SUPPORT or OPPOSE crimes. Let’s set up a committee to examine this issue and who were responsible(NOT me!!)”

Has anyone said this yet? They only start to care when large retailers are being hit, but not homeowners, small shopowners, news-crews, out-of-town visitors, and car-owners.

5 cars wow. Earlier they used to at least leave the suburbs alone.

I don’t blame the politicians though, blame the residents who vote for these people on issues that doesn’t affect them.

Btw when and how did this topic also move to ‘politics’ category?

Just saw that now.

I guess we weren’t following the “rules.” This thread is only for SF Housing stuff and the Filth thread is for Politics! :man_shrugging:t3:

The 808-unit apartment building at 50 Main St. would use density bonuses provided by the state for affordable housing to climb 1,066 feet — just four feet lower than Salesforce Tower, which opened in 2018 and supplanted Transamerica as San Francisco’s tallest building.

The developer, Hines, on Wednesday presented a project plan to San Francisco’s Planning Department that updates a September proposal that itself would have risen 800 feet. The site is zoned for 400 feet in height — but Hines officials say they’ve since found that the bonus intended to stimulate affordable housing construction allows even more extra height than they initially thought.

something that tall won’t sink? or lean? isnt’ there a leaning tower in SF?
