They think Seattle has a strong Asian culture? They’ve clearly never been to the bay area. I think most Asians from the bay area would be disappointed with Seattle.
I only saw one Asian investor when I was looking at open houses. The property was a mess. It would need completely gutted.
The downtown condo market sucks. The HOA fees are INSANE.
No, we love Seattle, well, I do. The only knock is the rain (for me), but look most people say it reminds them of the Fab 7x7 (smallish, hilly city, pretty diverse/laid back, good eats)
Seattle is like Oakland with bad weather 
Lots of old tired houses with good views. I have water skied in Lake Washington. Pretty cool. Got to have a trawler for cruising up to Desolation Wilderness

Have you been recently? The downtown is pretty nice now. There’s a ton of newer buildings.

I am sure it is nicer downtown…I just don’t care much for downtown living…I like suburbs and rural areas more…
I enjoyed the underground tour and around Lake Union.
My friend had a house on Lake Washington with a boat dock…that impressed me way more than downtown…

Detroit ranks 45 in terms of affordability. You mean people there can’t afford $5k tear downs?
I think it was based on job growth and income growth.
They ranked the 62 largest. The ones at the bottom are the worst.
