City rejects condo plans where 100-year-old woman evicted

This was in the news last year when the eviction happened. It was a court-approved eviction, because the owner proved that the tenant was no longer living there at the unit so it invalidated the previous agreement (that the tenant could live there until death). Now the owner is being punished simply because it was an eviction. These commissioners are using their power to implement their own version of social justice. It’s not that different from the county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples due to her own religious beliefs.

There is really no recourse for the owner. The best he can do is keep appealing to the same set of people? What else can he do?

He still sell as a TIC, just at a lower price.

He can sue the city in the court, but it costs too much. Maybe we can donate money and help him fight against SF on the supreme court.

Once these poeple grab power, they will abuse the power as they please.

This planning commissioners are worse than Trump

“Canada’s former neighbors allege her family members moved her out of the building and convinced her not to sign off on the condo plans in hope of someday getting ownership of the unit for themselves.”

Next time, city recorder’s office can forbid Jane Kim from buying a house and recording her tilte due to her breaking up another woman’s marriage

Also forbid Ross Mirkirimi from buying a house and recording his title due to his domestic violence sin.
