But anyhow I don’t find the tongue rolling accent attractive… not a prestige dialect of Mandarin in my book.
Same with the British accent… I know Americans find them irresistable but to me just sounds funny.

Never said Beijing accent was attractive. Can’t even comprehend it if someone speaks to me that way. It’s not like my Mandarin is that great in the first place
