It’s a politically motivated Sociology professor with PhD from Berkeley. False research. Take sociology research as political statement. His research is part of this political agenda of “just economy” movement.
Even in Silicon Valley aren’t only 15% of workers in tech? It makes some sense that the non-tech peoole probably aren’t making more (inflation adjusted).

Most product managers are computer science or engineer + MBA.

I don’t see why this is surprising. Managers almost always make more than the people they manage. Unless you’re some hotshot that invented a programming language.
