AAPL and Apple

Closed at new ATH

@Jil’s broken clock curse will be true sooner or later

I do not know about AAPL, but S&P is too high and will break down soon.

BTW: I am not broken clock, this is my reverse swing to make money! I buy spy puts at some time soon. Waiting for opportunity. If I guess time span is around 10-15 days, buying 90 day put, strike price 290!

Fancy,

“While Facebook and Apple both reported strong numbers, I think their stocks should’ve been up much more than they are in [the] after hours,” the “Mad Money” host said.

“When it comes to FAANG, my acronym for Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google, now Alphabet, time and government are far more important to their future earnings streams than the Fed or the trade war with China,” Cramer said.

Long was originally bullish on Apple’s lower pricing strategy. He said “the lower price points are helping Apple after a few challenging quarters.” But he said he didn’t realize average prices would come in this low as more consumers go for the cheaper phones.

the prospect of new 5G iPhones set to be released next year, but Long doesn’t think Apple will be able to charge enough without hurting demand.

The lower pricing trend “may present challenges for 5G, which we believe will carry at least $150 higher ASP,” he said.

Apple stock’s next milestone is $320 as a crucial transition is on track

On Oct. 23, before the earnings release, The Arora Report raised Apple’s very long-term target zone to $325-$365. To the best of my knowledge, this is the highest target around at this time.

That is the normal EW targets, @Jil guess you have learned enough to able to compute that. Min is $260.

• When the 5G phones from Apple come out, there will be a massive upgrade cycle.

• In the future, Apple may reach an inflection point where revenues from health-care-related offerings may dramatically increase.

• There are reports that Apple is planning a low-cost phone for emerging markets. This will be a big step in the right direction.

Apple Culture

Spoiler: The Beatles split up after a few years. Are Jony, Steve and Scott still with Apple?

Each member of the band claimed they were the main contributor. There is no main contributor in Apple’s leadership, every member’s contribution is as valuable. Each member of the leadership team (except CEO) gets the same compensation of $24M, COO gets slightly more. They are free to comment on each other functions so long it is good for Apple. The no main contributor idea permeates throughout Apple ranks… is a cornerstone of Apple culture.

Of course they are aware.

She has been selling this story and opinion all year. Her last time was March 25, 2019 when aapl was at 189. Apple has gone up $60 since the last time she encouraged people not to invest.

eps is increasing even though net income is stable because of stock buyback. The expectation is it will decline despite stock buyback. Stock has only increased a little from previous ATH. With a reduced share count, the market cap (valuation) of AAPL has not increased that much. Remember interest rate which is declining is used to discount future cashflow to obtain a valuation, so valuing AAPL higher now is not too far-fetched.

No 5G yet?

With the increasing Global backlash rising against 5G due to proven health dangers Apple should not concern itself with that unproven Market. Better to wait and see how the myriad lawsuits and regulatory battles work their way out.

I expect Apple will have their fastest 4G LTE system always installed and 5G waiting in the wings (Qualcomm chip) but solving the overheating problems that Samsung’s 5G phones are having (see WSJ Joanna Stearns report on 5G).

I hope someone is tracking what gets built and the end result of all these pledges.

VC legend: Apple still has vision

Alan said AAPL is a long term hold. However chart indicates the bull is tired, could have a consolidation (pull back of 5-10%) soon.

Instead of broadcast TV channels, we have on-demand streaming digital TV stations:

Apple TV+
Amazon Prime Video
HULU
Netflix
Disney+
Youtube
IQiyi
DramaFever
HBO
…

Look at AAPL chart. It will be quite a long time before AAPL will complete (III).V.5.v. So Jim Cramer is cool to say own and not trade AAPL. He knows it doesn’t matter how low AAPL pull back, it will bounce back. As I pointed to you, timeframe for super cycle waves (I)…(V) is multi-decades. Hence wave (IV) is a multi-decade corrective wave. Upon completion of (III), you can choose to ride the big swing in absolute $ term and collect dividends or move to other stocks. Completion of (IV) is another multi-decade up wave (V) I probably not around in this world, so there is no need for me to take any actions on AAPL in my lifetime

Reuters: Apple’s Tim Cook, Trump may visit Austin

Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook and President Donald Trump may visit Austin in the next week to tour a manufacturing facility where some of the company’s products are made, Reuters reported Nov. 12, citing unnamed sources.

Apple’s Mac Pro desktop computers are manufactured by Flex Ltd. at a large plant in Northwest Austin.

Reuters reported the chief executive of the world’s second-most valuable company…

Who is first?

sarcasm? Obviously first is MSFT, at least by market cap.

Isn’t the Saudi oil company #1?

Ok my bad. Sorry sir.

I don’t keep up with the day to day swing of the market cap.

But does it really matter?
