AAPL and Apple

yes revenue for these ad depended firms will go down as real economy declines. so they have less to spend.
competitors are building.

Just checked share numbers.

Samsung at 43.5%. but I didn’t dive into their share on the server space submarket.

Only three players in DRAM market, Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron. If Samsung loses share, means one or both the other two gain

Sales of iPhones declined 20.7% to $26.4 billion, a sharper fall than the analyst expectations of a 16.2% drop, according to IBES data from Refinitiv.

Jealous of AAPL investor @manch would probably say iPhone plateau.

The iPhone 12 release timing drove down sales in Greater China to $7.95 billion from $11.13 billion the year before. Cook said all of Apple’s non-iPhone products grew in China and Apple expects sales to pick up there again.

So long Biden wins. Don’t count on it as can be Trumped.

Mac and iPad sales rose to $9.0 billion and $6.8 billion, compared with estimates of $7.92 billion and $6.12 billion, according to Refinitiv data.

Good but not good enough.

Last time googl was brought down, today it is rock star.

I need to wait for next qtr aapl results.

Beware of the possibility of closing the gap up in Jul.

what’s your plan with AAPL Jan expiry call?

Samsung is globally politically very connected firm. They have the wealth and talent to succeed.

You cannot mix Sushi, Kimchi with Chicken curry. Even British made Chicken curry will not work with German, French and Russian tastes.
going forword this is only criteria that will matter.

Honestly (i am just guessing here), but my gut instinct is the market is going to sell on every news (good or bad) for the next 2 months till next earnings season, just like they bought for every reason (good or bad) the last 5 months.

old news. if not for that, is already above $60. Depending on the election result, can change anytime.

Please vote for Biden. Tks.

Don’t listen to @Jil. Increase in corporate tax is ok. Increased profit will more than compensate for the increase in tax. Anyhoo, businesses know how to do tax avoidance. Ditto for increase in income tax. I would rather pay more tax than lose $.

Apple stock pulled down by weak iPhone sales, China

Investors expected lower revenue from the Cupertino, California company’s bestselling product after delays left loyal fans clasping wallets shut while waiting weeks longer than usual to upgrade. But the hold-back was even worse than analyst had expected, with iPhone sales dropping 20.7% to $26.4 billion.

Investors have expected some "Osborne effect” - close enough principle.

The iPhone 12 release timing drove down sales in Greater China to $7.95 billion from $11.13 billion the year before.

How come “Osborne effect” is so much stronger than elsewhere? Any other reason?

I was lucky to sell the Jan 2021 call before results profitably, otherwise it would have been disaster.

But holding Jan 21, 2022 (LEAP). Since the results are good, AAPL will come up soon in a quarter, esp after iphone 12 pro.

I suspect the max it can go down is around $100 and $105 level. I will buy some more LEAP calls (DCA) so that I gain over period of time. Same for AAPL stocks (DCA).

Since you want Biden, you are just supporting corp tax.

Otherwise, increasing tax is not encouraged. Assume, if Biden increases all income tax brackets (for all personal tax) another 15% from current level, will the US people vote for him?

People are ready to vote for any tax as long as it is not hurting them, like Obama increased taxes for people above 250k income.

But the core issue is it hurts all corporates in USA, which is hurting the country as a whole.

Anyway, Trump will win and economy will go on full swing.

Cramer said. “Based on the first five days of shipping data, though, CEO Tim Cook is feeling optimistic. … I think the pullback here is a buying opportunity.”

2mrw open up?

Looks like I was wrong, market still goes down. Even though Mega caps are meeting estimates, market sentiment is bearish…The way it goes, one day up next day down…Do not know when it can stop (as usual finding the bottom is tough for me) !

Is not hard in this case. Vote for Biden and tell your fellow Trumpsters not to riot if Trump loses.

Look like Jim Cramer lost his crystal ball. FSLY trades at $60s and not the $70s that he envisaged.
My short put ($70) is bloody now, my blood is in the street, get greedy or cut loss?

Both won’t happen. How?

Biden is not going to win (unlike polls are indicating) and there is no riots (which is democrats imagination).

Trump’s destiny is like that he will win again, sir.

I exited out of FSLY put write last friday and just went short overall market (SQQQ) and bought a lot of UVXY. Covered the SQQQ and keeping UVXY for now. I’m looking to buy once it drops a bit more so I’m selling a lot of SPY and QQQ puts for now that I can pick up if it drops to those prices in a week or two. I think if the election is contested, it could mean trouble but I would like to buy aggressively when the time comes. Hoping AAPL drops to <100 to get in aggressively.
