Anybody Else Paying Their 2017 2nd Installment Early Due To Law Change?

Busted! Come on republicans! Go and kiss the hand that…never mind!

If you are paid AMT last year, and this year income is similar, no use pre-paying property tax. You will not see any benefit. Why pay early if there is no tax benefit if in AMT?

California should declare itself a charity and make all state income tax a charitable donation to the state ---- then we can deduct the whole amount

Thanks, ***, for also taking care of my payment in person down at City Hall!!! I hear the line stretched down the block…

Great idea. Volunteer charity donation is better than mandatory tax. Believe in the good people in California, our revenue would be much higher if it’s voluntary donations. Many millionaires and billionaires want a tax increase on themselves. A state charity would solve their burning desire to pay more tax.

CA’s median income is not greater than the national average - about 55k. So not everyone - or even most taxpayers - will be over the 10k limit.
