Newsom is using a illegal budgeting scheme to beat the recall. He plans on giving away 75 billion in surplus tax revenues to his voting block and even to many illegals that can’t vote.
In actually the surplus is only $37 billion and should be used for tax relief. Gray Davis also lied about the budget and was recalled.

Interstingly the max threshold to still get on the ACA exchange is higher in AZ than in CA. And though you would think the higher number of uninsured would make insurance more expensive for everyone else it doesn’t. Same or slightly lower rates than CA. So to each their own. Maybe well insured people consume healthcare needlessly. Or maybe AZ charging smokers double helps - CA made that illegal (discriminates against the poor).

Using my own experience, annualized price appreciation in CU is 4-8% since purchase, nowhere near Austin. In addition, rental yield and cashflow in CU are much lower than in Austin.
Currently, pay of SWEs in Seattle is similar to SV… Austin should follow. Lower house price and no income tax, large square footage and large lot… no brainer which place is better.
Is Texas counted in Southwest? I know Southwest Airlines is based in Houston.
