Best IPO Year Since Dot Com

That company never made sense. They missed their market window

I don’t understand Eventbrite either. Isn’t it like a small feature of facebook?

Slack, IMHO, is the IPO to watch out for.

Is it sticky though? It seems the messenger program du jour changes often. Companies seem pretty freely able to switch.

I have seen trends that make the choice sticky for 5-10 years time horizon. But, you are right - IM choices have shown less stickiness than email!

I have seen AIM, YMessenger, Jabber, Slack at work and each stuck around as ā€˜the’ choice for at least 5 years. Personal IMs: AIM, YMessenger, GChat, Skype, Hangout, FB Messenger, iMessage, WhatsApp…more churn in consumer space than at work (expected).

Yahoo really messed up with another hit product in the IM space big time.

Anyone using FB Work? Forgot its formal name.

Never seen it in action. I have seen sales teams try to use yammer and chatter.

Workplace. I guess me saying yes doesn’t count. :sunglasses:

Have you tried slack? It’s all the rage right now. Wonder what makes people like it so much.

FIFY.

Don’t become the old man who is cynical of everything new.

I use it in my work. It is extremely easy to be integrated with other tools, both inbound and outbound, making it a much stickier communication channel…

Recaps of the last 3 hot IPOs:

What about Beyond Meat?

Beyond meat is so good it’s beyond reason. but it’s only been two days.
