Best way to find a realtor who can help me find a home?

Hi

I am ready to buy a small home or condo, and although I can live pretty much anywhere in my home state of CT, I am in need of a couple of things that are rather specific, which would exclude the majority of avail properties out there. I was considering enlisting the help of a realtor to help me find what I am looking for, and who may be able to tell me about a prop that’s about to hit the market before it actually does.

Can someone tell me what the best way to find a realtor is? Should I just go to brokerage houses and announce myself? That would be a LOT, as I am looking across almost the entire state. What’s the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Start by seeking recommendations from friends or online platforms. Attend open houses to meet agents in person and get a sense of their style. Also, consider visiting local real estate offices in the areas you’re interested in. Don’t hesitate to interview a few agents to ensure they align with your needs, especially given your unique requirements.
