Bitcoin's 10 trillion dollar valuation is fast approaching

With so many skeptics and so many LOLs, it’s far from the top. What percentage of people here ever bought or sold cryptos? 10%?

Seems that Asia and Europe are leading in Bitcoin investment. US is lagging in terms of investor participation rate and enthusiasm. Maybe because our media is so obsessed with politics and leaves little space for Bitcoin reporting? Social media and word of month will make Americans obsessed with cryptos soon

If there were more media reporting, I would have bought Bitcoin years ago

Don’t count me in as one of the skeptics… I’ve always been adverse to commodities investing… I wasn’t lured into buying gold at all even back in 2008… I held on to my stocks even after they crashed more than 60% and gold prices were increasing like no tomorrow…

Ok, wuqijun is not counted as potential converts. We still have many others who can turn around to buy. Manch is a prime suspect :joy:

I am more interested in Katy than Warren…

Sorry, not into women with hair as short as mine…(that’s just me, for the record)

Really? You can’t make an exception for poor Katy?

Nope…grow it out Katy!!!

Bitcoin investment has been beating buffet by hundreds of times. It’s a new thing, let’s ask gates and Bezos in Seattle

You’re not into her, she’s also not into you. No harm no foul!!!

Frankly, if one put up a dinner auction, to have dinner with Katy or WB, guess who wins hands down? It ain’t the boyish looking lady…

For me it’s neither… unless I’m the one who gets paid!!!

Buffet was right about the dotcom. Everyone said he was out of touch and eyeballs were the new currency. Hmm…

What vehicle did you use to invest in crypto currencies? I am in two minds about if I should buy a little as a gamble.

When you need to use the term “gamble” to describe an investment, the writing is already on the wall… but don’t blame me if bitcoin did in fact shoot up another 1000% from here…

Coinbase is popular in US. You can just buy and sell and no need to dig into too much technicality.

Crypto is a very risky investment. I’m ok to take a total loss with my investment, do not blame me if it crashes :scream:

I’m too lazy to study thousands of stocks. Crypto is something you don’t need to spend too much time. I think this simplisity is one reason it can become a favoriate speculation for mass population and make massive gains.

To be honest, I have no idea whether Bitcoin could become a real currency and people would exchange it for consumption instead of speculation.

I’m speculating on cryptos and not investing. This is my disclaimer

I’m going to stop talking about crypto’s fundamental utility and value, will only look at chart and look at mass psychology

I definitely don’t view it as an ‘investment’. Just curious what are the preferred methods to throw the dice. Something like which game on the casino floor has the best odds of winning and hence is preferred (blackjack and poker)

Disclaimer: Bitcoin and other cryptos are a massive speculation. I participate because Newton speculated in tulips :joy:

Be responsible with your money!!!

Did Buffet comment on Amazon before 2001? Amazon was the heavily ridiculed dotcom and it turned out well

Ebay is another one. Even yahoo was purchased by Verizon for real cash

How will Bitcoin turn out 20 years later? I do not know. Right now, people speculate on it, just like people were speculating on Amzn in 1999. As of now, Bitcoin definitely is massively more risky than AAPL

I’m going to Vegas again to roll the roulette… boy that game fascinates me… money well spent!!!

Bitcoin is commodity? Thought is currency. Tried commodity trading, lost a bundle. Haven’t tried currency trading yet.

That is a logic fallacy. Very few bloggers here buy bitcoin means it has a lot more to go up. Very few people buy RE in Detroit means Detroit has a lot more to go up.

No need a professor to tell us. Obvious.
