Bitcoin's 10 trillion dollar valuation is fast approaching

Now that I have hung out at crypto twitter for a little while, there’s a clear ideological divide between the Bitcoin people and the Ethereum people.

The BTC maxis are mostly right wing. They like to talk macros and trashing the Fed. Most would tell you how inflation is many times higher than reported. As expected I am pretty turned off by their nonstop conspiracy theories.

The Ethereum side though is pretty left wing. They like to talk about the tech revolution brought on by the decentralized permissionless platform. Reminds me a lot of how people used to talk about the internet back in the 90s. A very idealistic “let’s build”, can-do, “something huge is happening right now” revolutionary spirit. I feel more at home in this camp.

@manch looks at everything with a political tinted glass. What he likes is left, what he doesn’t like is right. Right means correct, right?

Not left, not right, forward!

I’m a casual supporter. I’m all for Asian-Americans in government, media, board rooms, etc. Too many of us are stuck for one reason or another in middle-management.

I was on the #WuTrain for a bit too even though she is way too liberal for me. It is Boston’s problems now. Even if I don’t agree with all the views/policies, at least they are at the table!

I try to evaluate each person or issue case by case regardless of affiliation but sometimes I can’t help my identity politics. Oh well.

.

You should go all out for identity politics. Other people of color are all into identity politics. They are using that to push themselves into everything… I am thinking when is the time to leave… is getting worse and worse for us.

The true non-id politics is in Singapore. Pure meritocracy-based. And very pragmatic.

Maybe in 10 years or so I’ll run for mayor in a small city or big town. Look out!

Number of crypto users in 2021 = number of internet users in 1997.

But is crypto going to be as universally adopted and used as Internet?

He’d rather buy BABA instead.

In 2022,

  • US dollar would continue to strengthen against all foreign currencies
  • 30-yr UST would be rallying i.e. yield dropping
Why would one buy crypto as storage of value? If dollar is gaining value

Well Puru is implying short crypto.

Also implied RE prices would continue to :rocket:

This guy explains things really well. This series of short videos can serve as a fast course on DeFi.

Did he said he believe in crypto coins too?

BTC and ETH crashing today along with stocks. Only choice is to HODL…

HODL? BTC to $20,000 and ETH to $400. Still want to hold?

Told you @manch entering crypto is a reliable top indicator.

Note that he aggressively claimed that NET is the best stock… where is it now?
He also said NVDA is… dropping now but didn’t crash yet… long NVDA put!
