Demand for Remodel and New Construction

I talked to a respected GC who’s been in the business for 20 years. This time of year he usually sees a lot of plans cross his desk.

It’s just one data point but he’s seen far fewer plans this year than the last two. He still has some big jobs lined up for 2019 but it may be worth waiting if you are on the fence (heh heh) about starting a project.

Nope, that sounds about right. My wife is in sales in an industry that is tied directly to real estate. Her income is probably down a tad compared to the last two years at this same time.
