Election Poll

Even if Biden becomes a president with a cloud over the integrity of this election, it will be interesting to see how far it can go. And without the support of the public opinion, what will he do. This becomes interesting if you consider that a large number of people who did not like Trump’s style didn’t unlike the substance of what Trump’s policy was.

Since apparently if enough people think something, then it’s true because a survey says people believe it.

This might make Biden a lame duck president who will spend the four years in search of legitimacy.

Nah, Medicare will never run out of money. Just like social security will never run out of money. Government has the taxing power, remember? We also own the printing press of the world’s reserve currency.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul. So you get your Medicare but the money comes out somewhere else.
No nation on earth has anything resembling Medicare for all without a national sales tax or VAT. Doing it off income only doesn’t pencil. Think the Dems will go for that?
And just for the record - re: that printing press - are you an adherent of MMT?

Not only that but Biden had no coattails. The Dems performed horribly down ticket. Hence all the skepticism about the election results. Here in AZ it is partially explained by the inordinately large number of federal ballots received. Most folk who aren’t political wonks don’t even know what federal ballot is.

It’s always like that. You don’t think the SS and Medicare benefits you are getting came entirely from your past contribution don’t you? That’s why we need more people working. It’s a Ponzi scheme if you will.

I am not, but I also believe the bond vigilante has long been dead. Trump shows us we can print like there’s no tomorrow and interests rate goes down, not up. Our borrowing capacity is far higher than most expect, but not infinite like what MMT people would tell you.

The problem is that Biden will receive very little respect even from his own because they know he is not a genuine President.

Do you see more people working under a Biden presidency?

Compare to 2020? 2021 and 2022 will be like a gold rush.

people should be working less and earning more. what is the point of people having two or three jobs only to be able to barely meet their ends.

Poll is wrong!

Voter fraud!

Biden will be a lame duck president!

:man_shrugging:t2:

And he has not even taken an oath (if he actually does)

Trump in effect conceded today

it will be his nth concession in last m days

I’ll be very surprised if Joe ever matches Trump’s pre-Covid numbers.

If I were him I would be negotiating a pardon with Biden. Ford probably regretted pardoning Nixon but it was the right thing for the country. Biden is going to be a one term president. He can afford to pardon Trump with few consequences. We don’t need four years of witch hunts congress hearings and protests. Let Trump go into the dustbin of history.

That is why you are not a President. You can start with city council if you like to be a leader.

Trump pardoned the Turkey today. Maybe he can get the same from Biden.
Trump really didn’t want to be president. Nor do I. He just wanted the publicity of the campaign. Now he can campaign forever like Harold Stassen.
Stassen sought the presidential nomination again at the 1952 Republican National Convention, and helped Dwight D. Eisenhower win the nomination by shifting his support to Eisenhower. After serving in the Eisenhower administration, Stassen sought various offices. Between 1958 and 1990, he campaigned unsuccessfully for the positions of Governor of Pennsylvania, Mayor of Philadelphia, United States Senator, Governor of Minnesota, and United States Representative. He further sought the Republican nomination for president in 1964, 1968, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, and 1992.

Very true–Biden’s election was a protest against Trump’s rhetoric and style, less-so his policies. Even people who loved what Trump did really couldn’t support the way he acted, especially Christians who appreciated the religious protections and pro-life executive orders–they were ready to defend his actions and policies, but his behavior was just not defendable.

I finally came to understand some of the contradiction when I read a piece on how Pence may have been the one behind the policies while Trump was taking the heat for them.
