Hi, My house has a chimney on the perimeter that has separated itself from the house at the shoulders area. It must have moved during the last earthquake. The foundation repair includes work (and money) to stabilize this. I was wondering why do that and just demolish the chimney instead. It’s a standard brick chimney, not load bearing, 20 ft high on a single story house. Any experience with this type of work? Do I need to pull permits.
Simple and … just do it… Patching the hole is the hardest part. Permits not needed
