Why have laws if we aren’t going to enforce them? We could save a ton of money by eliminating police, lawyers, courts, and jails.

This topic of immigration, puts on the clear the ignorance of many Americans. They don’t even know what stuff comes out of their mouths. They think that civil rights, human rights, civil and penal laws don’t apply to undocumented immigrants and themselves if they dare to do any harm to them. Only those who take a little bit of time to read the constitution would understand what the 14th amendment, the 1st and 2nd say about some things that are out there on the public’s eyes and mouth.
I am pro-immigration, I’ve said it many times, I can’t speak against illegal immigration since that was my only option after I was used and abused by one of the…“I can’t disclose” their name or the branch in the judicial system. So, I tell my people of the perils, the deadly chances they take when they start their trip from my ex country to this precious land. Everyone, anyone, has taken than chance, whether they started with a tourist visa and over stayed, and got married to an American citizen fixing their situation, like the first lady Melania, to work visas that ended in a green card and on and on. Hunger, lack of opportunity may be one of the components that makes people take a chance against all odds. I am a result of that resilience spirit. I would be back in my country right now with 2 kids if I weren’t that smart to beat the system because I read, interpret, analyze, comprehend the laws and made my move. I am one of those criminal=illegals as some idiot somewhere said.
And yes, anything and everything you do is personal. BS me all you want, whatever you express here is having a hint of what you do and what you think about other human beings. It’s in your words, and your actions. Better be in your words than in your actions, shame on you if you act like you talk.
I am also against prejudice, discrimination, bigotry, you name any feelings toward people that makes them a target for misinterpretation or the above. That’s why I warned certain individual to stop using certain name. If he or she or I want to talk about undocumented immigration, we better use the undocumented/illegal immigration wording. No races, no nationalities, no prejudice.
I explained something about why not legalizing them, something like this:
Out of 11 million+ of people working or living in the shadows, put 7 million on a working age.
7 million x $380 work permit a year, x 5 years when they can apply for a green card= ? I came up with about $13+ billions.
7 million will apply for a green card. There will be families in that group, so I would downgrade the number to 5M.
5 million x $600 for a green card= $3+ billions.
There’s the money to build a wall $16+ billions.
Unless, somebody is lying about the cost of that wall.
This will put them out on the open, with restrictions, same restrictions I had on my head when I was a work permit holder for about 20 years. No felonies, not even a DUI. No arrests, no fraud, etc. You’re gone!
That’s what I think it’s doable. Otherwise, I have warned everybody, you won’t like what’s going to come out of it.
On your right, the picture of this Guatemalan kid who crossed Mexico, entered this country illegally, got his good luck giving him a family that adopted him. He became a legal resident, and without being a naturalized citizen he enlisted in the army putting words to action of loving America.
He is, after the other kid on the left, the first casualties in the stupid war in Iraq. May they rest in peace.
Yes, he would be alive today if the laws were followed.
Yeah, and I can easily find stories of Americans killed by illegals. Those Americans would be alive if the illegal wasn’t here.
Paralyze the country by not sending children to school, missing school and not attending classes…what kind of logic is this…

It’s a form of protest and was calling all immigrants to participate not just illegal immigrants. The local mercado participated.

We also have speed limit laws, and at least half the people I see everyday drive above the limit. Do we now put cops on every street corner and every half mile along all highways to enforce the law?
How do we enforce underage drinking law? Do we station cops in every party?
Law enforcement is never black and white. The choice is never 100% enforcement vs 0% enforcement. A memo from Trump suggests using the military to go hunt down undocumented immigrants. If turning into a police state is the price to pay, I’d rather live with the undocumented peacefully.

It was a success. Taxes weren’t collected, consumers realized in one day what’s coming. Those loyal to the cause were identified, those not giving a damn will get boycotted, they will pay the price, same thing as the American consumer is doing with anything Trump, or companies supporting him. It’s a new world, you don’t need riots, you do it peacefully. We still don’t know, but sooner or later the boycott in the rest of America against American products/companies will be discussed.
I saw a video of a group of 30 immigrants, whether they were illegal or not it’s not my concern. My concern is that they lost their jobs by participating in something we still celebrate, the first amendment. I applaud their resilient spirit, they walk the walk, and talk the talk, not like some I know that are all insults against the government but that’s all they do. The company they were fired from, lost more, one day of work lost is nothing compared to the trust you’d have on people who are there, relentlessly working their behinds off every day. Training and trust is not gained in one day. Trust me on that.
Today, it is about illegal immigrants. Tomorrow, those coming overseas and taking the jobs of legal citizens, later, those “make a deal” Asians. And the targeted people won’t be white, let me tell you that. It’s about what upsets the king in the white house, and what pleases the real base, the “American base”.
I keep repeating, you as a foreign born citizen should pay attention.
As I said, they lost a day of work, some their jobs. But it taught them that they can enjoy of the first amendment. Now, if they paralyzed the nation, well, don’t you think this is nothing to what’s coming?
When an immigrant, be this legal or illegal, as any other person does, s/he leaves a space, it is very hard to find a replacement right away. That day without a nanny, then 3 days becomes a burden in somebody’s pocket.
But eventually, those deported will leave a space that won’t be easy to fill. And as anything done all the sudden, the chaos, the awe effect will translate in stores being closed, they lost their customer base. Then, those kids not attending that school, because they will travel with their parents back to where they came from, will make teachers being laid off, which will be a chain reaction that will affect everybody. From teachers, to nurses, doctors, and all sorts of professions and skills will be affected. Massive immigration out will translate in empty buildings, houses and apartments.
You don’t need to believe me, just wait.

The loss of a days income is going to impact those people way more than it impacts the rest of us.
Skipping work isn’t free speech. Those people lost their income. I wonder how much savings they have? It’s going to impact them for more than the company.

I still dont get it. How does sending your kids not to school or attend school yourself paralyze others and the nation. Lets say you do it for 1 month. Schools are not going to close because 5 students dont show up for a month. Whose loss is it? alternatively who has the capacity to prolong it without getting hurt. You may not get it but I am sure those who were asked to do it did. So no one even noticed it. And there is little chance that it will go anywhere. Who thought about doing it this way?
Peaceful protests are hallmark of democracy. They are used in this country for centuries now. You are not creating a new world by using peaceful means. Check when the first amendment was written.

If one is an illegal immigrant and convicted of crime whats wrong in ordering them to be deported?
I am willing to wait. For every illegal immigrant deported 10 are lining up from around the world who are willing to take their place with all legal paperwork. I am sure if we allow farm work visas and visas for other type of workers and proceed to deport all gazillions of illegal immigrant workers we wont miss a beat in economy. Nothing will happen. That fear drives the supporters of illegal immigration. They are making it as something impossible, and will lead to chain reactions that will be catastrophic to US economy and common man. No it wont be.

Once upon a time, women couldn’t vote. And the right to vote for them came just from the sky, believe me.
Black people couldn’t ride on the front of the bus, and couldn’t vote either. That right also came from the sky. They just stood there, and the right to vote came just like that, a magic wand was wiggled.
And I am going to remind you people here that I have seen people who could pass as blacks coming to work in the Silicon Valley. And, it’s not the first time I’ve been warning you about the raising of discrimination and racist attacks against all non-whites. You just don’t get it. You should thank you live in a predominant liberal stronghold where nobody cares about how you look or what you do with your spouse. Just go live where the “rednecks” live --as they call other Americans-- and I promise you, you will be more than thrilled. Just think of how they treated Obama and his wife, my warning is up on the air.
I can go and on with situations that nowadays even conservative people enjoy thanks to the resilience of those who with their “stubborn” attitude, with their own lives, strikes, marches, losing their jobs, and self sacrifice changed society for the good of all.
When it comes to criminals in all types of legal or immigration status, nobody, not even those who live among them want them here. I don’t know anybody supporting their staying. Their relatives, for family and humane reasons may support them, nobody else does, not me, not anybody I know.
When it comes to deportations of millions. Read the economic scholar’s opinions. I am not an expert on that, just repeating and witnessing things that will affect us all.
I just don’t care if you landlords lose the value of your properties, f it, I just care about myself and my family.
Worrying about what’s coming is something I take personally because I know, when the chit hits the fan, we all are going to suffer one way or the other. We just can’t foresee it, but it will be coming.

Criminals and those who broke law have no just cause. They have no moral authority like one that blacks had to fight tyranny and oppression. Nelson Mandela and Gandhi fought tyranny by spending many years of their life in prison. What kept them going and what helped others to join them was the fact that “they were right” and that they were demanding something “that was just”.
Please dont equate such just causes to your fear mongering. Next you will compare yourself to MLK Jr. And expect people to come with you in paralyzing the nation.
If you are not an economist let it go and take a rest. We will see what will happen. Trust me for every illegal immigrant who is deported we can bring 10 more on short term workers visa who can work here legally.

Why do you think he is putting obstacles with these visas? Do you know what the over-vetting would do to H1B visa applicants? Extra years and years to be approved! Do you follow me?
Do you think that if there were fast procedures to bring those legal immigrants you so easy say will be here, they wouldn’t be here since last year, or 20 years ago? I’ve read, and heard stories of why, by the time the visas are approved, there’s no need for legal immigrants! The harvest is long passed, or the produce or fruit rotten on the fields! The harvest is not all year long, they need to move every 6 months all over some states. Too much paperwork. Google it!
And, again, there’s no crime by entering the border illegally. To be fair, only when you reincide on entering after being deported. You go to jail and spent some time there. Now, why don’t be discussed that little business jailing undocumented immigrants, shall we? It is the result of people, any people, living or stepping on American soil that by the nature of entering without any inspection they deserve to have their due process. We are still America, I don’t know about the future.
