Gun Control

People died, you lower the flag. I don’t see an issue. If Muslims did something else on 9/11, would we not lower the flags? Then just never lower the flags at all for terrorism deaths. And that would include all school shootings too. Is that what we want to do?

Video: Stabbing Rampage left 4 dead, 2 wounded. Orange County

““Records indicate [the suspect] was sentenced to four years in state prison for 14 convictions, for drug possessions, possession of a firearm, an assault weapon and ammunition by a felon,” KABC reports. “Garden Grove Police Chief Tom DaRe said Castaneda had previously been incarcerated for possession of methamphetamine with the intention to distribute while armed with an assault weapon.”

Law enforcement officials told reporters Thursday that recent changes made in California Assembly Bill 109 (AB 109) – promoted and signed into law by Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown in 2011 – significantly shortened the felon’s sentencing. An older California law then enabled him to reduce his time served by about half, allowing him to “earn a day of credit for each day served,” KABC explains.

The result is that the violent gang member’s prison sentence for 14 convictions lasted less than 16 months. He was released on Jan. 14, 2016.”

Good job California. It’s sad people think gun laws will matter when this guy violated gun laws, drug trafficking laws, and a bunch of other laws. He did less than 2 years in prison.

No kidding. So many calls from folks to “do something” and when the obvious is right in their face…crickets.

I don’t understand why people passed that law when the police said not to. Do people really not trust the police to know the ramifications of these laws???

The smugness on that guy’s mugshot. He’s definitely not rehabbing anytime soon.

but still far outweighed by gun deaths

This chart is totally useless. Need hours of shooter games per 100000 people. How much spent is relative to COL and even if that doesn’t vary much in those countries, and South Korea could be playing Mario Brothers all day.

So you’re confirming the study which says video games don’t lead to gun deaths?

Feel free to confirm it, but not with that chart…

For those who love moral outrage:

Yeah, take a photo with the President and receive death threats.

People really really need to chill…

You know me, straight forward arrow.
I still think those posters having kids at school and still defending second amendment nuts being able to kill other kids in schools, are mumbling jumbling stupidity, they are either psychopaths or ignorant.

They are like parrots with no idea of what they are for. They go from mental health, but their idiot president allows them to buy guns. Drugs? Oh boy! They can seem to be running out of ideas to deflect their stupidity. For example, this kid. What is the excuse now?

‘Shoot every federal agent in sight’: Teen behind online threat had 10,000 rounds of ammo in house, feds say

It has to be said, done!

A police officer loses his life by another dumb, second amendment loving criminal, and the posters here…crickets!

I will remember to send them thoughts and prayers the day one of their own is killed by a racist, nazi, white supremacist like them.

Buyinghouse, these are the comments that are unnecessarily inflammatory. You know very well that people here care. Lack of comments doesn’t mean lack of caring. You don’t want trolls here, don’t be one.

All millennials. When will this demographic stop begin so self-absorbed, blaming all their woes on past generations, and engage in a little introspection and self examination?

So for 2 years students have been able to conceal carry on campus, and there’s not been a single issue.

Here in AZ anyone with a driver’s license can carry concealed and lightening strikes are more of an issue than shootings.
