If GM Falls again on this news, at least 5% to 10%, I will buy again !

This president is a nightmare.
Is he wrong about existing EU tariffs in US products? I don’t get why the EU even cares about a steel tariff. We get 3% from Germany. The rest of the EU doesn’t even make the top 10 sources for steel imports.
EU taxes cars built in the US 10%. US taxes cars built in the EU 2.5%. That’s a huge gap.
China blocks Facebook, google map, and others from competing. Political reasons or not, it still isn’t fair trade.
It’s ironic that other countries impose tariffs and restrictions on US imports, then when the US implements tariffs they cry for free trade. They should be ready to drop tariffs and limits on US products if they are serious about free trade. The US has clearly been too nice for too long on trade. It’s probably out of some guilt for being the world’s largest economic power. It’s time we demand fair and equal agreements.

Any kind of tariff and protectionism is bad. There is no an eye for an eye here. Free trade is always the answer.
The world should slap 100% tariff on American agriculture products, be it beef soybean corn or whatever. The midwestern states that voted for trump need a kick in their nuts.
No matter how you feel about trade deals this is exactly the wrong way to go about “negotiating“ it.
In that case, US will turn into Mexico or China or India or Thailand in terms of standard of living !
We have high payments, wages, taxes and everyone is driving in a car while those countries you can see people walking or biking to office…etc
It is country to country changes.
All along, last 20 to 30 years, US has been a marketing land while manufacturing elsewhere
I agree, but the data says the rest of the world is being protectionist while expecting free trade from the US. We need to do something to force them to the negotiating table to remove their protectionist policies. Do you think EU will lower their car tariff without a fight?
I think for decades we tolerated unfair trade, since we had so much economic prosperity. Now it’s time to make trade fair for everyone.
Yes agree they should remove their tariffs as well.
Wrong. Tariff and protectionism are not the cause of unequal standard of living across countries.
Everybody has tariffs. US, EU, China all have tariffs. We can complain about EU tariffs and EU can complain about ours. All this takes literally years of careful negotiation. It’s not “unfair”. A deal is a deal. We get some and we lose some.
Are we really hurt so much by EU’s current tariffs? Are we hurt by NAFTA? If so how come we have the most world beating, most innovative companies in the world and not EU, China or Mexico?
I hardly agree with Larry Kudlow on anything but he has a point or two here:
The swamp has never been this deep. ![]()
In a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Icahn disclosed that he sold nearly 1 million shares of Manitowoc Company, a Wisconsin-based global crane manufacturer.
Manitowoc stock fell sharply, losing roughly 6 per cent of its value.
Icahn unloaded his shares of the crane company on February 12, days before the Commerce Department released a report recommending the tariffs that Trump later championed.
I am sure it’s a coincidence. ![]()
Collusion. Icahn needs to go to jail for this.
He creates buying opportunities.
We need a way to get rid of everyone’s tariffs. Precisouly, no one feared the US creating tariffs, so they had little reason to remove their own. Now the games has changed. I wonder how many other countries will be open to removing tarifffs now.
A person to live in bay area, 50k/year for a family is not enough, but this is luxury pay for China, India, Mexico, Thailand…third world countries. Low cost wages is attractive for companies to shift jobs abroad.
Funny that the lackey for this administration never comments on the corruption in that white house?
