Even “older” California homes are pretty modern by east coast standards.
East Hampton is full of Wall Street thieves and assholes. Good luck getting accepted there. Think Wolf of Wall Street.

Not sure.
The point i am making though is, the houses in say mtv, la, pa are all dark, gloomy, and old. the ones i have been seeing (remotely) on east hampton houses are bright, nice, and their renovations don’t look like lipstick on a pig. the exterior/architecture is also much more appealing.
LA homes have these shades (not sure what thye are called) on the top of the window area outside that makes it really really dark inside.
