How Come We Haven't Talked About Alviso?

If location, location, location is #1 in our book…

Why not EPA then? It’s right on the peninsula. It’s just as convenient as PA. I bet in 20-30 years it’ll be completely gentrified. The current residents will get pushed out.

My office used to be in Alviso and I used to live in PA near 101. (a while ago though)
Although Alviso was undeveloped area I was not under the impression that it was unsafe (maybe I am wrong).
I used to take a walk to bayland with colleagues.
However, I always felt unsafe whenever I visited EPA.

Commute from PA to Alviso was not bad at all (probably 30 mins).

Bounded by creeks, sloughs, a river and Highway 237 — next to which sheep could be seen grazing only a few years ago — Alviso officially became part of San Jose in 1968.

Alviso, CA is on a flood plain, so development there is heavily restricted.

Key is here, I have often seen Alviso flooding with rain. More than one car height of rain is common.

Ooooh, that is not good…

Well, we have over the years at least talked about EPA. I checked our posts and nothing on Alviso. It is not a secret anymore that if you were one of the more bolder ones back in the day you probably made out pretty well from EPA.

I was there. A fixer starts about 600K, often a tear down. A few blocks away I see the old Fortran Drive encroach toward shore line.
New Chicago is the left over of the swamp. It is near the taco roach coach when I see waste water bubbles. I almost throw up.
But every home on the market. They say walking distance to Cisco, 49 Stadium…
