Interesting, thank you. NYT is making out crypto and Web3 as the next big wave in Silicon Valley. Only 2-3 years ago, AI/ML, IOT and autonomous driving was considered the next big thing. Have those already become passé or are the big waves in tech now overlapping rather than being serialized?
Finished on Monday.
New roof and painted the place.Gray with white trim. I know it’s boring.
Hopefully no leaks during this storm ![]()
Did you paint it yourself or have your crew do it? I’m due for an exterior paint job…trying to figure out how to handle it/how much it will cost.

Did you get the San Leandro house?
People still want to work at Meta?
Possibly they do not want to work for Apple.
10-20% of their top engineers are getting these extra bonuses. In effect, they will be giving out significant bonuses to enough people to support the SFH prices in nearby areas of Cupertino, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara in 2022…
A decent flip. Wonder what it will sell for.
I was wanting to look at this in October…sigh. I’ve no idea about the area though.

Did you have a hand in this @caiguycaiguy ?
They paid only $550k last month, November?!? Wow. Where was I? Daydreaming ? Geez, I need to step up my game.
I don’t love the neighborhood. Lots of apartments nearby, the street is busy, and the freeway noise is loud but at $550k it’s too good pass up.
I’m paying over 700k for a smaller house.
Meanwhile, the hatred for cars continue to come in different forms:
Westfield Valley Fair mall in San Jose preps parking fees, reports big sales surge
So, this house which was featured in the NYT story on what you can buy for $2.8M in Calif just closed escrow. It sold for a modest $600k above asking at $3.4M ![]()
Someone should tell the NYT to edit their title to “what you can get for $3.4M”
