Reminds me of and old story. A former client of mine was building a bridge for his driveway to a spec home he was building over a small stream in Emerald Hills.
He had diverted the stream . So a neighbor lady walking by says to her kids… see that, that’s pollution. My old Irish immigrant client says to her… see them( her kids) now that is pollution …
In the Sunset, tents are rising but not much housing. There’s a connection
Until now, the Sunset has avoided the specter of street homelessness, but it has also shunned adding housing that the city desperately needs.
I have come to conclusion that people that are housed feel no obligation to the unhoused. Call it the drawbridge effect or nymbieism or whatever… but the homeless have pretty much pissed off everyone and only have the homeless industrial complex on their side.
