Actually now that I think about it a bit more, there is a certain cleverness in being so literal. From now on Zuck owns the Metaverse concept. Even if his company failed to make it mainstream people will always mention his name when they talk about the M’verse.

If someone can name a computer company after a fruit I don’t see why not.

I think it’s a smart move. They are in a precarious position in the social realm without controlling the hardware/store platform like Apple and Google. There’s a reason they are pouring money into the Oculus platform. It’s all or nothing for Facebook in my opinion. They should throw in 50%+ of their R&D budget into the metaverse and at the same time, buy Unity. I’ll buy FB back when it goes to the low 200s.

He’s probably right. I’ve used oculus for years and tried almost every game. It’s not about the device per say but just creating an ecosystem that can cater to all platforms. Currently, RBLX has the best chance to achieve it imo. Perhaps Epic would be the second. FB can make the best VR platform but it needs to work seamlessly between other platforms/screen IMO. No way FB can create the game or player level dynamics for true meta verse (too much politics and lack of understanding).

Didn’t pay much attention to VUZI… realize is in wave III.1.i.(3).(iii)… long runway… look like I have underinvested… can’t win all… I have too many tickers 
No time to look at all. Holding a minor stake in VUZI. Wondering whether it can grow into a bigger company or it will be acquired sometime in the future? Core biz is VR glasses for healthcare and auto industry.
