I tried to find a mainstream source for it to make sure it wasn’t a hoax and all I could find was a Daily Mail article and something in the “Science Times” which I’ve never heard of and which sounds hokey. If it’s real it’s disturbing. Multiple science fiction stories have been based on the concept. It’s kind of Clockwork Orangeish. A Deep Space 9 episode as based on the exact concept.
